Harvest 2017 – Pinot Noir and Rosé of Pinot Noir

HARVEST 2017 UPDATE:

Trione started harvesting grapes on Monday, August 21st - the day of the solar eclipse! - and so far, so good.

Yesterday we brought in Pinot Noir grapes for our Rosé. We let the juice and the skins have contact in the press for just under four hours before removing the juice and putting it into a tank.

Today the cellar crew is taking the remaining fruit and free-run juice from the press and putting it all into tank. Watch the video here: Trione Vineyards and Winery Pinot Noir.

There has been a lot of cleanup...and now we wait for the rest of the fruit to reach the winemakers desired brix level and then we will be back at it, picking, hand sorting, cleaning, racking, cleaning, punch-downs, cleaning, and more cleaning.

All of the cleaning and hard work that goes into wine-making is all worth it for our cellar team because the finished product is fantastic.

We get to enjoy and share with the world beautiful wines like the Rosé below.

What a life, huh?

Cheers from all of us to you!
