We are excited to introduce you to a new piece of equipment that we brought into the cellar for harvest 2025. This optical sorting machine by Weco adds impressive technology and logistical efficiency to our operation, fully supporting winemaker, John Duckett’s, ethos of ensuring only quality fruit makes it into the bottle.
The optical sorter uses lighting fast imagery to identify any specific malady that we want removed from the lot and uses a burst of air to shoot it down into the discard trough, so only perfect berries make the jump to feed directly into the fermentation tank.
